Alfred will take part in the most incredible adventure imaginable. Alongside Agatha and her dog Snouty Jones, he'll investigate the disappearance of the ten Elster jewels; priceless figurines shaped like birds. And the three of them will end up involved in a case for actual detectives when Mrs Elster, the owner of the jewels, also vanishes. Alfred never would have imagined that he'd ride a zip-line, sneak into a mansion, or survive an attack by starving birds. But what he'd have expected least of all is that, thanks to this adventure, he'd find true friendship.

As a reward for his good grades, Alfred's father has given him an authentic silver shilling. Over the moon with his gift, Alfred goes to Agatha's house to show her the coin, but his friend has a surprise for him that's even bigger: she is going to introduce him to her neighbour, the writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of the Sherlock Holmes novels. Alfred is star-struck after the visit, whereas Snouty Jones is very angry. After a serious fight with the dog, the boy goes home very upset, but the next morning, with everything apparently back to normal, he’s in for a shock. Snouty has disappeared without a trace.

Agatha decide hacerle caso, aunque no podrá suponer que esa caja será la responsable de una nueva investigación. Y tampoco podrá deducir que muchas vidas, incluso las suyas, estarán en juego por culpa de ese intrigante paquete.
Agatha's mother gives the children two tickets for the cinematograph. Alfred is excited for this opportunity and really enjoys the show. Leaving the cinema the children meet a distinguished gentleman, none other than inventor and businessman Thomas Alva Edison, who invites them to visit his factory. When they get back home, Agatha discovers that her uncle has sent her a mysterious parcel: a box that she shouldn’t open nor touch. Agatha decides to follow the instructions, unaware that this small box will force her and her friends into a new investigation. Not only that, but several lives, including hers and Alfred’s, will be put on the line because of this intriguing parcel.

Emma, Hercule’s sister, has gotten really sick while acting at the theatre, so the children travel with Hercule to America to be by her side during her recovery. When they reach the city Alfred & Agatha meet Harpo Marx, a bright young actor who also works at the theatre. However, our friends won’t have time to enjoy themselves in the new city. They soon find out that Emma is suffering from a strange illness that is killing everybody at the theatre. Could it be a terrible curse? Alfred, Agatha & Snouty will have to face their most risky challenge up to date, as time runs against them in their attempt to save the actor’s lives!

Alfred and Agatha, with their inseparable partner Snouty Jones, are enjoying the hospitality of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at his house in Edinburgh. There they discover that a dangerous mystery thief is planning to steal the Koh-i-Noor diamond in the train taking them back to London. With assistance from the great Harry Houdini, a well-known magician friend of Sir Arthur, the kids and Snouty will board the train focused on protecting the diamond. Paris and its bohemia take in Alfred, Agatha, and Morritos during their holidays.
